Chapter 1 – माँ, कह एक कहानी
In this poem, a child asks his mother for a story, and she narrates one that teaches compassion, justice, and kindness. The poem beautifully blends love, wisdom, and moral values.
Chapter 2 – तीन बुद्धिमान
This story is about three brothers whose father taught them that true wealth lies in intelligence and sharp observation. Using their keen insight, they describe a camel without seeing it, astonishing the king, who then honors them in his court for their wisdom.
Chapter 3 – फूल और काँटा
The poem “Phool aur Kaanta” shows that even under the same conditions, people differ by their nature and actions. The flower symbolizes love and beauty, while the thorn represents pain and hurt.
Chapter 4 – पानी रे पानी
The lesson “Pani Re Pani” explains the water cycle and the importance of conserving water. It teaches that by storing rainwater and protecting water sources, we can prevent droughts and floods.
Chapter 5 – नहीं होना बीमार
The story “Nahi Hona Beemar” is about a child who pretends to be sick but later realizes that being ill is no fun after spending a boring, hungry day at home.
Chapter 6 – गिरिधर कविराय की कुंडलिया
“Giridhar Kaviray Ki Kundaliya” teaches us to act wisely and focus on the present rather than the past. Thoughtless actions lead to regret and unhappiness.
Chapter 7 – वर्षा-बहार
The poem “Varsha-Bahar” beautifully describes the charm of the rainy season — with thundering clouds, dancing peacocks, singing frogs, and nature filled with joy and freshness.
Chapter 8 – बिरजू महाराज से साक्षात्कार
In this interview, Padma Vibhushan Birju Maharaj shares his journey of struggle, devotion to Kathak, and the importance of rhythm, tradition, and discipline in art. He inspires children to learn music and dance, as they bring balance, peace, and joy to life.
Chapter 9 – चिड़िया
This poem shows the bird as a symbol of love, freedom, and simplicity. It teaches humans to live with harmony and honesty, free from greed and selfishness, finding true happiness in a simple and free life.
Chapter 10 – मीरा के पद
In “Meera Ke Pad”, Meera expresses her deep devotion to Lord Krishna. n the first verse, she prays for Him to dwell in her eyes and heart, and in the second, she joyfully celebrates the monsoon as a sign of her Lord’s arrival.
